Questions
Is it really free?
Yes. Every recipe, the planner, the shopping list and Use it up are free, and will stay free. You don’t even need an account.
What does Pro add?
Pro picks whole weeks of dinners that share their packs, plans around what’s already in your fridge, lets you plan next week ahead, shows the packs you’ve finished instead of binning, and turns any recipe from the web into dinner for one: paste the link and it scales it down, gently on the seasoning, and adds it to your shopping list. Yearly Pro also includes all four PDF cookbooks; monthly includes the Asia one.
How are the recipes made?
Neil has reviewed every one and cooks from them, and friends cook them and say what doesn’t work; dozens have been changed because of it. The whole story is on the About page.
How is the waste-saved figure worked out?
It compares the packs your planned dinners leave half-used with what the same number of typical dinners would leave if each was bought on its own. Only food that goes off counts, not cupboard staples, and the money uses rough UK supermarket prices for each pack, so it’s an estimate rather than a receipt.
Where do the calories and protein come from?
They’re worked out from each recipe’s ingredients, using standard nutrition values for each one, for a single portion. They’re estimates rather than lab-tested figures, so check the labels on what you buy if you need exact numbers.
Does it work for two?
Yes. Every recipe is written for one and scales up with a tap, and the shopping list adds it all up.
Can I cancel?
Any time, from Settings in the planner; it simply doesn’t renew. The 14-day trial needs no card, so there’s nothing to cancel if you don’t carry on.
